Quick update on the house, we have heating, hot water and newly decorated hallway!! just waiting for the new carpet now thank goodness.

Also, I went to the local Weavers Spinners and Dyers Guild meeting today and a lovely lady named Dee helped me with my first go at spinning on a wheel. I think I must have been grining all afternoon, great fun and my mind is now full of ideas for yarns. Yes, I am now saving for a wheel and would like to thank everyone for making me so welcome.

  1. Fabulous scarf Sue. Pity is was highjacked like that!!!! But what fun!
As we speak I am looking across the room to my spinning wheel which is feeling a bit dejected through lack of recent use.
Once you have mastered it you could use it to make nice lengths of cord with!

  10. Oh-the spinning bug! It's such good therapy-once the co-ordination works! Being a Threadspider with 8 left legs meant it took me ages to get hands and feet and eye and brain working together!

  11. The whole magic of spinning to me is watching this seamingly mess of fiber slip through my fingers and become this wonderful string of yarn, or string, or whatever. It's become very much a part of me and nearly as stress relieving as taking a long ride, on a beautiful day, on quiet windy roads. Mmmmmm, I can't wait for the warmer weather to come! Thanks for stopping by (and commenting) on my blog.
