its seems that he also had an accomplice!!
Thanks for the beautiful scarf, wonderful texture.
Quick update on the house, we have heating, hot water and newly decorated hallway!! just waiting for the new carpet now thank goodness.
Also, I went to the local Weavers Spinners and Dyers Guild meeting today and a lovely lady named Dee helped me with my first go at spinning on a wheel. I think I must have been grining all afternoon, great fun and my mind is now full of ideas for yarns. Yes, I am now saving for a wheel and would like to thank everyone for making me so welcome.
Fabulous scarf Sue. Pity is was highjacked like that!!!! But what fun!
ReplyDeleteAs we speak I am looking across the room to my spinning wheel which is feeling a bit dejected through lack of recent use.
Once you have mastered it you could use it to make nice lengths of cord with!
Beautiful scarf and a warm house! Perfection!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scarf indeed!
ReplyDeleteNaughty Ted and his tuxedoed accomplice. what a wonderful scarf - lucky you.
ReplyDeleteoh yaaaay!, it's good to hear that you are back to normal.. and at least have heat and hot water! yikes...it ain't cold shower weather .... brrrrrr....
ReplyDeleteoh, oh....another hobby....hahhaha.... I bet it is great fun to try spinning alright.... I better not try it...I have enough ...or would that be toooo much on the go already.
Beautiful scarf and I like the color!
ReplyDeleteActually, I have been doing it now.
It remains to be seen whether my scarf will succeed.
Great post gave me a smile
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the scarf...just lovely! I tried spinning 20 years ago...still have a wheel in the shed, but lace has taken over the house :) Maybe oneday I will exercise it again :)
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf! Thanks for introducing me to Biker Ted, he ought to meet Rabbit Ted and Monkey Ted who live with my daughter.
ReplyDeleteHi there. thanks for the leg advice. Went to work today, big mistake! Now I get the hint, it will be permanently elevated. This scarf is so gorgeous, you lucky thing.
ReplyDeleteHee hee. I felt just like Bob T Bear (Esq) having a frolic!
ReplyDeleteOh-the spinning bug! It's such good therapy-once the co-ordination works! Being a Threadspider with 8 left legs meant it took me ages to get hands and feet and eye and brain working together!
ReplyDeleteThe whole magic of spinning to me is watching this seamingly mess of fiber slip through my fingers and become this wonderful string of yarn, or string, or whatever. It's become very much a part of me and nearly as stress relieving as taking a long ride, on a beautiful day, on quiet windy roads. Mmmmmm, I can't wait for the warmer weather to come! Thanks for stopping by (and commenting) on my blog.
