Quick question

Hi

a quick question prompted by Laura's comment on the previous post.

How many of you spin or operate your sewing machines barefooted ?

  1. I wear whatever is on my feet for the sewing, but I rarely keep shoes on for spinning. socks are ok, but shoes irritate me, when I spin more than just a minute or two. which some kids at the meeting yesterday found hilarious:))

  3. I'm a barefoot girl. Well socks really. I can't seem to get the control of my sewing machine I like when I'm wearing slippers

  4. ..spinning wheel - without shoes.....

    ...sewing machine - with....

(I think it's just an "electricity" thing - I find the foot pedal gets warm and it bothers me a bit!)

  9. Spinning barefoot, no socks at all. Sewing, shoes. My foot pedal heats up and I can't stand to have hot feet. Knitting I either have shoes on or off. Most of the time off. :)

  10. Don't use a spinning wheel....occasionally a drop spindle..so not sure if it counts..but I'm a sock girl too. And DH thinks it's funny if he catches me with one shoe on and one shoe off whilst doing a short bit on the sewing machine.

  11. Sewing machine, slippers usually except for a class I went to in trainers which I had to take off cos I couldn't 'feel' the pedal.

  12. Ever since I was told about the machine foot pedal that caught fire whensomeone was sewing in shoes and hadn't noticed it getting hot, I definitely don't wear shoes.

  14. I spin and use a sewing machine. Never barefoot for either but I do sometimes take my shoes when using the sewing machine! Now what does that say about me?

  17. I'm a barefoot gal too, although I have really thin ballet pump type slippers and that works ok (if my feet are cold!)

  18. For spinning it's bare or stocking feet, but no shoes. For sewing it's whatever I've got on.
