What gorgeous colors you produced in this roving! From the previous photo of the wool in the steamer I would not have dreamed that these glorious colors would be the result.
Interesting!!! Having said that, I'm voting for the "cool" option.What a fascinating process.The inter-weaving certainly shows off those colours to their best advantage.
Wow - I think I might have to put a steamer on my Christmas list - first I need some instructions as to what you do to get those yummy colours!!! How about it?

I absolutely love these warm vibrant colours, but, oh I am so annoyed. I got rid of one of those steamers two years ago at a car boot!!!!!! Ouch!!!!

ReplyDeleteI had thought about food colouring but resorted to acid dyes to get the depth of colour.
