TDF day 10, a couple of skeins and a canal side walk.

I know that today was supposed to be a rest day but  i don't really like to leave things half finished so I spun up the other bobbin of hebridean and plyed all 4 bobbin giving me 128gm Jacob and 112gm Hebridean to go in the wash bag.

The rest of the day was spent visiting the optician to collect some stronger glasses just for lace making and embroidery and then taking a walk down the canal.

This boatman is taking his narrowboat through the lock singlehanded and, if you look carefully,  you can see that he is pulling the boat through on a rope.

Many of the old warehouses along the canal have now either been demolished or converted to residential properties.

That's all for now, speak tomorrow x

  1. What a lovely place! Anything with a water view like that here would cost a fortune to live near. That little boat is darling. I'd love to have something like that to take a spin around the bay in.
