How to make distressed celtic atc

1. trace design onto soluble paper, 2. layer chiffon onto velvet, 3. layer black organza on top, 4. machine stitch design, 5. back of the work, 6. ready to dissolve paper, 7. add gold markal stick, 8. blast with heat gun

Please ensure that you burn/melt in a ventilated workspace!!

Mount onto your favourite backing of vilene or card, cut to size, machine round the edges and enjoy trading.

    That is just so wonderful-I'm really excited by the possibilities of layers at the moment. Is there not a great deal of movement between the slippery layers of chiffon, organza and velvet?

    Wow. This is just unbelievable, it looks like an antique leather book cover when you finished. I love it! I wonder... if I dare try it... thanks for the tutorial! Wow, look at the stitching though... I'm amazed.

    Hi all, thanks for the comments, The sewing machine is just a standard one set to a very narrow close zigzag, free emb. foot, feed dogs down. Just stick the tongue out and concentrate :-)
