elephant

Hi, I'm working in an elephant design that's easy for  teenagers to sew with little or no experience. Designed to be strung together and hung on the wall.

Next I'm going to look at felt brooches for them to work on.

Next step for today is to put together kits ready for Wednesday night and add to my session bag which already includes several peoples knitting, granny squares and a lace pillow with a half finished bookmark on it.

And they wondered why I laughed when they suggested I took the banjo along as well!!

Another dark, wet day so I just grabbed a shot of my favourite fast food and retreated back indoors.

More life on the Trent

We stopped off by the river on the way to visit my parents this afternoon. The recent rains have swollen the Trent and the current is very strong. The swans came in to land, started paddling like mad and still ended up downstream where they had started in a matter of minutes.

Nearly forgot today, so it's a quick snap of one of the ponds looking very neglected under a cold grey sky. Yesterday I said that we didn't have any snow...... we have now had snow....for about 5 mins!!

I must admit that I am getting fed up of the wet weather, no snow this year just wind and rain!! It's already dark when I leave work, usually raining and I have a tendency to look like a drowned rat by the time I get home.
The cold, wet streets of Nottingam. I will try and remember to take this shot again in the summer.

OK, just in case you are wondering what it is, It's a blu-tac snail left in the staff room by one of my colleagues!
