The Big Screen and Tour de Fleece day six

Last night we went out together, I know this will come as a shock to people that know us but it does happen sometimes. As usual, the reason for the outing was motorbikes ( somehow spinning just doesn't cut it with him) and we went to see TT3D close to the edge, Brilliant film!!! and the 3 D is used well without the silly special effects often seen in this type of film.

If you are interested in the knid of motorcycling we do and a look at some of Europe's interesting places, have a glance at BikerTed Diaries.

Back to day six of Tour de fleece, I finally finished the first 50gm on the bobbin,

and had another do at plying some teeswater, this time a lot softer twist, giving a much better result :-)

I'm planning a spin session in  Costa Coffee in Nottingham tomorrow afternoon, have you all have a good weekend x

Nottingham Riverside Festival

We had planned to go down to the festival yesterday but the weather put paid to that! so we wandered down today and found this...

and amongst the attractions and music I found this

of course I had to join in, just happened to have a drop spindle in my bag :-)

Spring Spin Spun

I've finished my spring spinning sample, first attempt at spinning to a theme and adding texture. It has now been washed and stretched.

I also finished the goat angora ( spun at the bike camp) and Leicester curly bits ( lightly carded)

and played with wool nepps

very short piece, very time consuming!

This has been keeping me sane as we now have a new pump on the heating system and a new radiator but the boiler is now refusing to work. I'm getting a little p*****d off with this and I suspect when the insurance people come in to decorate they will find more problems requiring more money!!!
