work in progress

I've not had much time to spare for the last few weeks but I did get the chance on a recent sunny day to wash some fleece.

WIP part 1

WIP part 2

WIP part 3
and I've bought a couple of books on easy crochet and easy knitting!!

On Wednesday, I took spare lace pillows to Stitched Up ( now famous after being mentioned in the Times last month :-) ) and Claire made her first sample piece and started a simple pattern. I forgot to take my camera but I do have the pillow here as Claire felt that her cats would be a little too inquisitive if she took it home!!

didn't she do well!!

Many thanks for your comments on my previous posts, weaving stick will be played with and photographed and I have also discovered a braiding disc (based on Kumihimo, Japanese braiding) hiding at the back of one of my cupboards so more on that later.

Later

Those kind people at Blogger have decided that this Blog may be Spam and they need to reveiw the content. If they are not happy they will delete the Blog. I can only assume that a computer somewhere has got its knickers in a twist and normal service will hopefully resumed as soon as possible.

Have a good weekend and hopefully I will still be here next week.!!

I would love to have a go at lace making but I can't even think about it ... we won't go there ... the list of stuff I'd love to try is so huge ...

I hope they don't delete your blog, horrible to think that someone has the power to do that! I dread to think ...

good luck with the 'easy' knitting and crochet! we seem to be living paralell lives a the moment. is that yarn you have spun from the wool you washed - surely you are not THAT quick?

If it's not a stupid question, how do you go about washing your fleece? Do you do it by hand? And what about drying it, can it be spun in the machine or does it drip dry? I left some fleece where it lay on holiday because I didn't know how to de-grease it.

Oh yes, Claire did VERY well. And yes..kitties would find that very interesting and, of course, soley for them! I hope your blogger situation is worked out. Of course it was just a glitch somewhere....you've got a great blog!

ewwww..... what a horrible dirty job that is, washing the fleece....but somebody's gotta do it.

I buy my bits of wool already clean I'm afraid....not that I buy huge amounts to do needle felting...

wow... a first timer's efforts? ... it looks pretty wonderful...

Hi Guzziesue! I can't believe blogger would try to delete your blog. That is so strange and incomprehensible. ???

I am only just learning to crochet, as knitting was too much for me. I can't believe you WASHED WOOL. How cool.

It's been nice catching up with you!
