Its Sunday morning and I'm taking time out to chill with a coffee, the sun is trying to break through and I can hear seagulls in the distance.
Its been a bit of a hectic week, we started with putting our partnership on a legal footing with our Civil Partnership Ceremony with a couple of close friends as witnesses . Its only taken 38 years to get around to doing this.
Of course, I had to mark the occasion with a band on my sampler.
Then the next night we had a very loud banging on the door and we were told to evacuate our house ! Apparently next door's boiler had started smoking and the worry was that it would set both houses on fire,
Two fire engines arrived and sorted things, we were allowed back in but dinner was cold haha
Saturday morning we were back on the road, heading south and hoping for some sun.
The trees are changing colour nicely but it was misty and murky for the first 250 or so miles.
But eventually the sun broke through and made it all worthwhile.
