Holiday Homework part two

merino wool, silk, angelina carded together

then spun and plyed with machine embroidery thread

very small skein but I'm pleased with my first attempt at art yarn spun on a wheel.

my limited experience of spinning has been with a drop spindle for thelast couple of month or so.The wheel is opening up new possibilies for me, this was my first attempt at 'art yarn' on the wheel and was great fun to do.

looks pretty "arty" already! I only have a problem with small samples like that, because I rarely have good ideas for what to do with them. there's only so much space to hang up skeins for "admiration only":))

I love the colors you blended so nice. The spinning is not bad at all ! I think it is great fun to make more yarn and knit something of it :)

Woah - love those colours. And the yarn looks fantastic. The plying with thread is a really nice touch.
