mixing textile art with a love of motorcycles
I wear whatever is on my feet for the sewing, but I rarely keep shoes on for spinning. socks are ok, but shoes irritate me, when I spin more than just a minute or two. which some kids at the meeting yesterday found hilarious:))
your works, photos and this blog is wonderful!nice to work in barefoot!Sorry my bad English.
I'm a barefoot girl. Well socks really. I can't seem to get the control of my sewing machine I like when I'm wearing slippersLove and hugs Gina xxx
..spinning wheel - without shoes........sewing machine - with....(I think it's just an "electricity" thing - I find the foot pedal gets warm and it bothers me a bit!)
I don't spin, but for the sewing machine I feel I have more fine control with just socks
shoes off for sewing machine, I find I have more control. sounds ike a great meeting
I'm a barefoot girl... sometimes socks... never shoes or slippers.
I think it's a big vote for bare foot ladies......so far....
Spinning barefoot, no socks at all. Sewing, shoes. My foot pedal heats up and I can't stand to have hot feet. Knitting I either have shoes on or off. Most of the time off. :)
Don't use a spinning wheel....occasionally a drop spindle..so not sure if it counts..but I'm a sock girl too. And DH thinks it's funny if he catches me with one shoe on and one shoe off whilst doing a short bit on the sewing machine.
Sewing machine, slippers usually except for a class I went to in trainers which I had to take off cos I couldn't 'feel' the pedal.
Usually with socks!
Ever since I was told about the machine foot pedal that caught fire whensomeone was sewing in shoes and hadn't noticed it getting hot, I definitely don't wear shoes.
Can`t spin, shoes off for machine sewing, the air is blue if I am trying to do machine embroidery. regardless of shoes on or off!
I spin and use a sewing machine. Never barefoot for either but I do sometimes take my shoes when using the sewing machine! Now what does that say about me?
I own up to being a barefoot girl :-) along with most of you, many thanks for commenting on this one, its been interesting to see the answers.
I usually sew wearing houseshoes but barefoot sounds awesome! I'll have to give it a try!
I'm a barefoot gal too, although I have really thin ballet pump type slippers and that works ok (if my feet are cold!)
For spinning it's bare or stocking feet, but no shoes. For sewing it's whatever I've got on. :)
Only during summer time. :o)
