Wild and Woolly Boxing Day

OK, I freely admit that we are not big on Christmas, to the extent of not buying presents for each other or having the usual tree etc. Christmas Eve was spent with a friend dyeing yarn and baking biscuits.  No photos of the baking but one of the yarn ( all hand spun by wikkidknitter)  :-)

Christmas Day saw us visit family only to find that they had been playing the Queens speech game ie take a drink each time the Queen mentions family,  community, commonwealth and spirit! The result being that they were all rather drunk by the time we got there :-)

So on Boxing Day we abducted our Niece and Nephew and took them to the Wild and Woolly Scramble meet near Market Harborough, good open air entertainment to blow the cobwebs away. Mud everywhere, even in my pockets, in our hair, on our faces and our clothes!!!

So here's the pics for any bikers who still read my blog!!

I love your alternative Christmas. We pretty much opted out this year also and ran off alone to ice skate and go to the movies instead of the usual stuffy family gathering. It was very liberating.
