A little disappointed at the lack of traction engines but well pleased with the spinning wheel display.

Scottish diaries..past times
During the week we spotted an advert for the farming yesteryear and vintage rally at Scone near Perth. The poster promised steam traction engines so we ummed and aahed about having another early start and long drive. In the end we said sod it and were on the road by 8am.
After parking up and changing into boots as the weather had been so wet we spent 2 hours simply looking at the stalls round the outside of the arenas. A quick refill stop at a marquee cafe and we looked round the exhibits.

a little more knitting
Hi,
I've been trying to knit up some of my handspun into hats :-)
Why Hats? well simply because I can remember the pattern easily haha. knit 4 inch of this, 5 inch of that. then shape the top!!!! I hope to get back to spining in public so I need something to show what can be made with even the thicker bumpy yarn plus if anyone wants to buy one I won't refuse!! three of these are from fleece I've prepped myself, one is from a merino blended colour tops (spun maybe 5 years ago) and the green one from the scrap bag!!

Flapping around
A different subject....Birds!!
I recently visited a craft fair in West Bridgford to give my support to the Nottingham Ukulele Orchestra who were due to appear there despite the pouring rain when my attention was distracted by these gorgeous creatures.

Well Done Kilton Raptor rescue centre for looking after these birds.
