When I was about 14/15 I bought the double album Space Ritual by Hawkwind and played it to death!!! On my late 20s I started going to Hawkwind gigs with hubby, these days I don't bother so much. They can be very good, very bad or just mediocre but I still like their music.
Last night we went to see the The Psychedelic Warlords perform Space Ritual, they are an offshoot from Hawkwind formed by the ex vocalist/bass player. They were brilliant, I had forgotten how well I knew that album and and they performed it just as I remembered.
I had a search round you tube has found this.
warning...long clip please feel free to ignore!!
as usual I had a small camera in my pocket
and I love this shot !!! now for the band

A bit of colour
Here in Nottingham we have a shop called Montana who supply spray paints and art supplies specialising in graffiti. I popped in earlier in the week for a chat ( as I do from time to time ) and grabbed a couple of shots of the spray paints. Just love the colours!
and the reflections
made me think about embroidery again...maybe I need to get the fabric paints out at some point :-)

woolly wednesday
Ok, this has come around far too soon!! Not really a huge amount to show for the last few weeks as I have been busy with other thing as my previous few posts will show
So I'm just off for a much needed coffee break whilst I think about what I have been up to
Remember this Shetland cross from the last woolly Wednesday?
Here it is spun up
and this is how it is knitting up.
At the moment I'm trying to sort out and ball up some yarn to display/sell and a forthcoming charity night to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, we are having a bit of a dabble night and generally seeing if anyone would be interested in short workshops/demos to raise funds. I'm going to put together a few spindle kits and will be attending with my wheel as it's usually quite a show stopper.
Not a lot of gossip for you, have a good day :-)

Steam Sunday..notice the theme??
We wandered over to Evesham yesterday so Hubby could catch up with his biker mates and I could natter to one of my spinning mates who just happens to be married to one of the bikers. The venue was a steam railway (for the men) and a shopping complex including a needlework shop a jewellers for us girls. As usual, the pics are of the engines :-)
I hope you all had a great weekend and didn't eat too many Easter eggs!! x
On the way back we were surprised by how much snow was still piled up from the previous weekend.
