more fleece...

I did promise not to buy any more fleece.........I did promise to try and spin what I had stashed away.......But.....

I suspect that these tips may give me some grief.

New spindles

Hi, tonight I visited my good friend Wikkidknitter and found him busy making spindles....aren't they pretty :-)

and yes, I came home with one of them to play with!!

Nottingham Light Night

Its that time of year again, time to freeze in the city centre whilst watching the pretty lights. But this time it was a little different as hubby now plays with Nottingham Ukulele Orchestra and they were performing in the shopping arcade under the council house. I am full of cold so the prospect of wandering round in the sub zero temperature did not seem particularly attractive so I spent my time split between spinning with my drop spindle whilst watching the guys play and warming up in my favourite branch of Costa :-) I did manage to snap a few photos though.

The council house had a makeover

mirrors shone in the trees

houses changed colour

chocolate lace was being made ( I have suggested that maybe they could have real lace being made next time)

we had marching bands

culture box singing and dancing

and, of course, the Nottingham Ukulele Orchestra

We attended the annual Round Britain Rally (motorcycle event) presentation dinner last night at Conkers in Leicestershire. This year there was a small invasion from a rather different type of wheel.

Yes, we are slowly taking over the world !!

The fun and games really started when we tried to get out of the car park, So glad that we weren't on the bike.

some people had to dig our theirs cars and then we discovered that automatics don't like the snow! This is the third attempt to get out of the car park for this one.

however, once on our way we had the motorway to ourselves.

and it look really pretty this morning :-)

OK, think I may be spending the new few days sorting out this.....


or I may disappear under a mound of books and fluff, never to be seen again!!
