

Sometimes you see the strangest things from the back of a motorcycle. In 2004 on our way to visit the Museum H R Giger at Gruyeres in Switzerland, we spotted the these patchworks hanging from the town walls of Langres. The Blue one is 4 metre square, the other is a lot bigger, I can't imagine working on anything that big.
We were so intrigued by these that we returned the next week and spent a wonderful day visiting the town and walking round the walls looking at all the other entries.

Wow, those are really cool! And yes - huge!! It makes me wonder if that one on the lower photo, in particular, might have been some sort of collaborative group quilt. Hhhmm....
