I now have all my wool tops bagged according to colour and all the silk packs gathered together to play with on Monday. Surrounded by all these colours I couldn't resist practising my spinning.
I don't really knit, just find spinning on the spindle relaxing and I'm also curious as to how many different effects can be produced from such a simple tool.

That's beautiful yarn!
That first lot reminds me of liquorice allsorts! Lovely colours! If you aren't going to knit with it what about weaving on a peg loom perhaps?
I found this very interesting as I was inspired by an outsider artist who created similar but hugely larger items by wrapping and wrapping any threads she found around the place till she decided the piece was finished and I had always meant to start one of those... but had forgotten. Thanks for reminding me I will go and start one as soon as i have sent this.
Also I have a spindle a stone on a stick and might have a go myself if you don't mind.

Take a look at my blog to see what I got up to once I was inspired by your spinning...www.i-sew.blogspot.com
I intend to go bigger with this.... and rounder and beadier probably...
Was your spun item stitched as well as spun?
