Hi, I mentioned a few posts ago that I needed to destash and sort out and try and get from this
to something more reasonable,
well, along the way I sorted out these bags of magazines and and fabric awaiting new homes
and the room now looks like this:-)
feels so much better!!!
This weekend has been busy with a lace guild meeting, the clean up and multiple phone calls to find out what has happened to the new cooker (still awaiting delivery) I now need to catch up with my e-mails and finish spinning the orange fluff in the container next to the wheel.
Talking about wheels, mine now has a sheep, just sort of jumped in our shopping trolley along with the weekly shop on Friday!

What a busy time you have had. The sheep is so cute, no wonder you decided to let him come home with you.
I'ii give it 2 days before normal service is resumed :o)
Cute sheep and impressive tidying. What does Biker Ted know?! (A lot probably lol)
What an excellent organizing job you did! Would you like to come and organize my crafty area?! Your new sheep is adorable! Very puffy!
You could come and start on my table next!
It looks GREAT!!! And I hope you proved the comment from "Bikerted" wrong!!! ha ha ha
Oh I need to declutter too. it is so easy to let things slide out of control with our craft stashes isn't it. i've been thinking of getting a spinning wheel, ut i don't knit. I suppose the plan is to get a loom later and then I can spin what i need for weaving... What other things would you use the yarn for?

Hi, I started using a drop spindle firstly as physio after badly breaking my arm, then as a way to spin matching thread to stitch together some felt vessels
Then the whole idea of using a spinning wheel started to intrigue me although I am only now learning to knit more than stocking or garter stitch. I have an idea about using the yarn for bobbin lace or in my embroidery at some point.
Admittedly, a lot of the enjoyment simply comes from the spinning process itself rather than the finished project which could well see me disappearing under an avalanche of yarn pretty soon!!
As for weaving- I'm tryng to ignore it at the moment due to lack of space but.......
Wanda and Julie..the room is still tidy inspite of comments from Biker Ted!!!
Thanks for all your comments :-)
Fab sheep and glad you didn't get rid of that rug in your clearout!
Monster and Custard say "hi" ... they are off on their holidays soon!

well done! does it feel good? It takes just one project for it to be back to "normal"!
Great tidying job! I used to see peoples' fabric stashes cut and pressed into uniform sizes and neatly stacked.Looked most impressive to someone like me, a "squash it in this space" sort. Now I'm glad I didn't succumb as I've found various sized frames that I will work pieces to, instead of the other way round.Your space looks just right, and your sheep looks very happy to be there.
you don't fancy tidying up my room as well? could to with a tough hand, but I just cannot bring myself to throw away (or even give away) all my goodies. I did throw out a lot of magazines - but somehow they do tend to accumulate here.... I think DH would be happy enough to see my room as tidy as yours - and refrain from any smart comments about how long this might last:)) btw - your knitting looks good to me!
thanks, wish I could tidy up all your rooms but mine remains a major challenge :-) I once read an article about a textile artist who simply bought just what she needed for each project as she needed it....I would miss having stash to pet and enjoy!!
I don't fancy that - there are very few suppliers here, so it would be a major nuisance to wait for materials to arrive by post! and sometimes ideas only come, because I grab some stash - and play with it!
