on the needles today....

Hi, just a quick update as to what is on my knitting sticks at the moment. I bought this fibre at wonderwool 2011 from FeltstudioUK simply because I love Daniela's fibres and her colour choices are always different to the ones that I dye myself.

Not fair. you can't post a photo of that beautiful yarn and that spectacular shawl and not tell us how you managed to get that gorgeous gradient coloring out of that roving. Will you tell us if I say please?

haha, not a big secret with this one, simply split the roving lengthways and spun two bobbins then plyed it back together:-)in fact looking at the other photos on flickr it seems that I spun the different halfs on different wheels.

It's always a wonderful surprise just how fiber that's hand dyed looks when it becomes yarn and then a project. This is lovely.

Wow!!! If only there were a few more hours in the day and a (big) few less miles between Down Under and Nottingham!! I am thinking that spinning something to make into lace must at least be on my tuit list!!
