a different kind of sewing

Today I'm trying to complete a task that I set myself a couple of months ago. I agreed to make 50 fabric gift bags, size approx 11x8 inch for a Pride event at my workplace. They will be filled with info re LGBT groups locally, sweets etc and given out at a special event next month.

I've already made 40 or so and just need to do the last few over the next couple of days. I have just cut out a further 10 ready for sewing. This should give me one or two extra which I will keep as they make good little bags for knitting projects like socks.

The bags are french seamed and hopefully people will find a use for them. The big plus is that this has used up quite a bit of my fabric stash :-)

You can't have enough little project bags. I have to match mine to the yarn I am using.
