Whilst I was up there, I started a project, for a while now I've been interested in ganseys, the history and the patterns. I know that I will not have the patience to knit one but I found a pattern or Ravelry repentantly and thought that it would be a good choice to also practise doing cables as they scare me haha.
So here is the Gansey Girl at Bridlington knitting a Gansey hat by Janet Stimson The yarn is hand spun Portland dyed by myself.

That is just so cool! We were in Wash DC a few years back and there was a statue there that I thought needed a good yarn bombing. I took my hat and scarf off and put it on him and took a photo but I didn't leave it behind.
