Bedfordshire for beginners
Some of you may remember this post about Jenny and myself undertaking a challenge to learn Bedfordshire lace in 2009. As this activity keeps my fingers moving without having to use any real pressure, I can cope with the plaster cast on my arm as long as I take frequent breaks. Jenny has posted her first sample here and my first sample is shown below.

Have fun making your Bedfordshire lace. It looks good so far.
thanks, this is a new lace for me, suspect it is going to get a bit complicated very soon
Your plaits: try to press threads after a cross (rather than after a twist), by pulling a pair right and a pair left so that they almost are on a same line.

Well done. It is only small steps to the more complicated ... just do it 1 step at a time :) Have fun, and I hope you enjoy...it is a fabulous lace to make!

I already make torchon lace and Bucks point so I know various techniques but this is a new style for me. Thank you everyone for your encouragement.
Very nice, but you are righnt - it should me more tight. In color it would be nice...
